A critic's Religion..

Helo n 2day i present before you another post which deviates a little from my usual rants..
okie..without further ado,.. Here v go...


Okie basically most of my friends say that I am an atheist ..I would like to begin today's post by dismissing that claim..
I do believe in GOD..but the God i believe in might be a whole lot different from yours..
I was born a hindu, and therefore hinduism certainly does have its influence on me..
But unlike most of the people i know who consider Brahma, Vishnu n Shiva the gods of creation protection an destruction as actual entities,..i dont..
What i believe in are forces..and i really do believe that is essentially what 'they' meant when they first wrote about them..
Now who the 'they' here are is something i really do not know..:D
In my humble opinion, Brahma is symbolic of all the forces that led to the creation of the cosmos...Vishnu is symbolic of the forces that help sustain the cosmos and Shiva is symbolic of all the forces that are responsible for the eventual decimation of the cosmos..
And i do not see any reason why one has to 'fear' or devote himself/herself to these forces..
We have all learned about tons of forces.. Th gravitational force, the electrostatic force,.. but we do not commit ourselves to these forces..





Now, moving on to the scriptures..
My assessment here is that the actual stories and characters in them are actually quite irrelevant and it is the ethics in them that really count...
Both the Ramayana and the Mahabharatha are meant to teach people to lead good lives..
They are meant to guide people to the right path..
And today we have Hindu fanatics running around the place destroying mosques and temples and hindering development claiming Ram peed there or Lakshman pooped there..and hence labeling the land as 'sacred'. I have great respect for the Bhagvad gita, The Ramayana and The Mahabharatha but i find no reason to respect Ram's land or Hanuman's writings because to me they are all nothing but fictional characters..and the epics themselves, mere anecdotes.
I believe people are missing the bigger picture here..instead of just praying to flying monkeys and elephant headed humans, what one needs to do is actually spend that time working or doing good.

That is why i believe in the laws of karma and dharma..Karma,which basically states that one gets what one deserves and Dharma which basically states that each and everyone has a purpose.
And again i disagree with the hindu take on all of it which explains karma on the basis of 'GOD's' direct involvement and which kind of mixes up Dharma with destiny.
I believe my concept of 'Dharma' is potentially the answer to what people have been searching for all their lives.. The purpose of life..
I believe the purpose of every person's life is to make a difference..
To make their presence felt..
The purpose of life is to live..
Now you may have noticed that i have focused only upon Hinduism and its aspects and not on any other religion's. I have a simple explanation to that as well.. I do not wish to comment upon things that i do not have any real knowledge of..i am not saying that i am a pundit in hinduism,..But I have a right to comment upon it as i was born into it and i have practiced it for the better part of my life.
I may disagree with Mahathma Gandhi on a lot of issues but here, i commend him.I really admire his stance on religion.He believed that religion should merely be a way of getting in touch with one's inner self a means of relieving stress. He believed that all the ideals in religion were to be practiced in real life and that religion itself should act as a channel towards equality.

What the world needs right now is a hybrid..A hybrid of Gandhi and Che Guevara who would annihilate all the Religious fanatics and put all the terrorist scum in their places!!
WE NEED A REVOLUTION!!
WE NEED A SAVIOR!! :D
WHO KNOWS, IT COULD BE YOU..


Okie.. well i think i am going to wind up now..
So in conclusion what i would like to say is that Hinduism,Islam or Christianity isnt my religion. I do have a religion but i lack a name for it..
My religion is based upon the morals and ethics from all the religions i know of..
And unlike all other religions mine does not have a static foundation..the foundation of my 'religion' continues to grow..
My religion is built on Equality Love Peace Freedom Justice Liberity and other values..
Perfection is my one true god and excellence is my salvation!!

OH YEAH..I M ALMOST AS DEEP AS THE MONKEY ON MY BLOG---->

THE WOES OF A RANDOM CRITIC

ALRIGHT!!
It has been a very long time since i ve updated this!!!..
And now here we go again..
This time, i will not be going on one of my usual rants..
And i shall tell you why..
For those of you who read this.. you might think i have it easy..
I mean how hard can it be?..All you have to do is rant about random stuff right?..right??..
WRONG!!
The fact is.. nothing is as easy as it looks!!.. and the same goes for ranting..:D
I for one, would like to believe that ranting is actually a creative skill!!:D..
And recently i ve been facing a mental block..:D
I might even go as far as to say that just like all other artists and poets out there .. a critic too faces mental blocks!!..


And in time i really do hope i that i will be able to get past this!..

And another thing that people fail to realize is how important ranting is to a critic!:D
Ranting helps define a critic.. It is who he is..
And when the time comes when a critic no longer has anything to criticize,..he is longer a critic!
Therefore,.. for me..although i do not consider myself a full fledged critic, ranting is an important part of who i am!!:D..
And for the past few weeks since i have not been ranting much..i fear i that i have been losing touch with my 'inner' critic..
I fear that the critic in me will die out soon if he does not get a chance to express himself again..
And because of that i hope people like the shiv sena or rakhi sawant or george bush or any other prejudiced bitch opens his/her piehole soon!! :D..
ps.. forgive me for the 'obscene' use of language above!:D..but hey!.. a guy has got to say what a guy has got to say!!

Prejudiced bitches and critics share an important bond..
They are just like terrorists and anti terrorists.. Even though they absolutely despise each other and always seek to completely annhilate one another.. The existance of one depends on the other!..For a terrorist terrorising isnt really terrorising unless they have people who feel that what they do is terrorising..And an anti terrorist's existance only has some meaning if there are terrorists..and similarly Prejudiced bitches and critics are eternally bonded to each other as well..
For a critic to have nothing to really unload upon will result in the creation of a void in himself!!
And no matter how hard he tries to live past it,..the void will continue to haunt him..
A critic's life is therefore a doomed one!:D..


And this has led me to the realisation that a person never really knows what he really wants!:D..
Although a critic may say that he wants these bitches 2 stop being prejudiced or stupid people to stop being stupid..deep down inside, he fears the day when a such a thing shall actually happen..
he fears the day the world is actually cleaned up...
Because on that fateful day, The world will be relieved of two things,.. 1.)Prejudiced bitches and Idiots AND
2.)THE CRITICS WHO CRITICIZE THEM!..

Thats it for now..

A RANDOM CRITIC!

TWILIGHT...a.k.a D CHEESY TEENAGER STORY :D

Been a while since i ve posted something here..
For sometime i didn't have much to rant on...
But now i m BAAAACCCKKK!!! :D

Alright this post is going to be a little different from all the others..
All my other posts were on subjects like spam or advertisements which everyone hated..
This post is going to be on something which almost everyone simply adores!! :D..
THE TWILIGHT SERIES!!
Which is something i am a little annoyed by!! :D






Okie..
SO here we go..
The twilight series is basically about a girl who falls in love with a vampire..
Now as cool as that may sound.. trust me it isnt!..
The 'things' in the story are anything but vampires!!
They are just a bunch of cheesy lovestruck teenagers!!
And here are some 'facts' to justify my statement..
NO.1 VAMPIRES are supposed to drink blood..
The vampires in this series do drink blood,..but they drink animal blood!!..
Seriously.. Animal blood??.. I mean a vampire who drinks animal blood is like a carnivore who eats insects for a living :D..
NO.2 Its bad enough that the main 'vampire' in the story does not kill the girl or drink her blood.. but he actually falls in love with her!!.
A case of the lion falling in love with the lamb!


This is just not supposed to happen...




Let me ask you.. would you ever fall in love with that sumptuous piece of meat that you are about to sink your teeth into??..
NO3.A Vampire is supposed something that is so demonic and so hated that even mirrors refuse to show its reflection. The vampires in series are 'sweet' and 'kind'.
NO.4 You cannot say that this is a different Vampire story because the only thing that the things in the story and Vampires have in common is that both of them do not age.
The so called vampires here can't even turn into bats!! :D
NO.5As if turning something evil and vicious like a vampire into something dainty and well something, 'pinkish' :D..wasn't exasperating enough they even 'decimate' the image of a werewolf!.
In the story werewolfs and vampires are supposed to be arch rivals..
Again this might sound awesome.. but what happens is pretty soon the werewolf too falls for the same girl.. and then the werewolf and vampire kiss and make up!!..
OOH HOW BARBAROUS!!

Its not that i have anything against the main plot...Its just that i don't appreciate people changing the way things are meant to be!
Vampires are supposed to be blood thirsty scheming vile demons ..
Werewolfs are supposed to be barbaric, uncontrollable wild creatures!!

AND THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO FALL IN LOVE WITH THEIR LUNCH!!

And then there are the twilight movies!!..AAH!! THEY ARE NOT EVEN HALF AS GOOD AS THE BOOKS!!.. AND I WAS EVEN DISTURBED THE BOOKS!!..
AND PEOPLE KEEP RAVING ABOUT THE MOVIES!!..
JUST BECAUSE A GUY WALKS AROUND WITHOUT HIS SHIRT ON, THE MOVIE IS EARNING A LOT OF MONEY!!


A lesson well learnt...



AAH AAH!! THE WORLD HAS GONE CRAZY!! COOKOO!! NUTS!!..
