Been about a year i think :D..
Well anyways I am back with yet another theory..
But this is no ordinary theory. This theory could lead you to question each and everything you know to be true..it could and most probably will lead you to question your entire existence.
For those of you who have watched the movie 'inception' this may sound a bit familiar..
The concept itself is quite simple really, It is almost the exact title of this post.
Are you crazy?.
Now most of us would promptly answer this question with denial. But stop and think because that is when everything gets interesting.
I m pretty sure everyone has atleast once in their life seen a person that society has labelled 'insane.' Now if you observe that person, You'l see that he is in a world of his own. He interacts with people, He carries objects , and does everything a 'normal' person would do. But yet there is an abberation. He seems to be interacting with objects that just do not exist. People term that person to be schizophrenic or just plain crazy.
We'l refer to the schizophrenic as 'BOB'.
Get it??.. spongeBOB?? :D
okie.. yeah so to BOB..he is not crazy. He is just another person living his life in his own simple way.
Bob has friends to whom he talks and shares stuff.
He has enemies with whom he quarrels and fights. Bob has a house, a family and maybe even pets.
In short BOB has a pretty 'normal' life if you ask him.
The question is what if you were BOB?.
What if all that you see, all that you feel, everyone single person you know, were manifestations of your 'insanity'??. What if myself, the blog you are reading right now, the clothes that you are wearing right now just simply did not exist.
You might think the idea is far fetched. But this is what we know about BOB to be true. We 'know' that BOB is crazy when he is talking to his 'friends',interacting with objects in his 'world'. But the fact and the matter is BOB does not 'know'.
For those of you who need a more thorough and visual explanation of what i just said, i suggest you watch the movie 'shutter island.'. You'l know exactly what I am talking about.

Now this leads us to another question. What is 'Reality'?. If what we see , feel and live through isnt it,then what it is?. Where is this 'Reality' and how can you get there?.
The answer, my fellow mortals is that reality does not exist.
Reality is a completely relative phenomenon. What is 'real' for BOB is non existant to us. The same way what is 'real' to us is non existant to BOB. The thing about schizophrenia and other mental diseases is that noone has been able to find out what causes them. No one knows what apparently goes wrong when one turns 'schizophrenic'. My question is, could it be that nothing really is wrong?. The person is living in his/her own world. To him, that is reality. And the events that happen in that world are as real to him as the events that occur in our world are.
The conclusion that I came upon after all this is that there is no line between sanity and insanity. They are both the same state of mind. What is 'sane' to one maybe 'insane' to another.
The beauty of this theory is that it is completely harmless. It just encourages one to think twice about everything one has taken for granted. Even if you are crazy, Even IF your world is nothing but a big hallucination, it doesnt matter. What matters is, that its YOUR WORLD. And you are living in it. This is where you were, where you are and where you will be.

The 'mind' is a very complex phenomenon.
It is funny that we know so little about something that each and every one has. It causes you to see things, feel things. It controls and defines you in ways you can't even imagine. It is outrageous when we think about it. We dont even know what the 'mind' is. Some of us believe that whatever it is, it is in the brain. This leads us to another question, which is what my very next post will be about.
So i guess i'l make my um... 'comeback post' a small one.
Hey you never know, maybe i have been writing all along, just not in your world, BOB :D.
